Multi-Layer Coating System

Step 1: Grinding

Our skilled installation team uses a diamond grinding tool to ensure maximum adhesion to the floor surface. We use a HEPA-filtered vacuum during the grinding process to collect dust and minimize mess.

Step 2: Repair

Once the floor is grinded, we repair any damaged concrete, pits, or cracks with a quick-curing concrete mender. This prepares the floor for the basecoat.

Step 3: Basecoat & Flake

The bottom layer of your new floors is a polyurea base coat. Our zero-VOC solution provides peace of mind knowing you and your family won’t be harmed during or after installation.

Step 4: Flake

This is when your floors come to life! In this step, we will spread flakes in the color of your choice across the floors, ensuring a consistent texture and even color across the floor.

Step 5: Topcoat

Our zero-VOC polyurea/polyaspartic topcoats are the final step in the process. Our durable topcoats create a smooth, non-porous surface that will be ready to walk on in as little as 24 hours.

How long does flake flooring last?

Our flake flooring systems are designed to last. There are several factors that impact the lifespan of your flake floors including the frequency of foot and vehicle traffic, the kinds of materials that come in contact with your floors (spills, dust, dirt) and how well you maintain your floors.

Simple Maintenance

For residential flake flooring, we recommend regular sweeping and mopping as you would for any other floor covering in your home. You should avoid using any harsh, acidic chemicals. The general rule of thumb for using cleaners is that it is typically safe to use any pH-neutral floor cleaner diluted to the manufacturer’s recommendation.

Poly-Based FLoor Coatings

Most premium floor coating projects are achieved using poly-based floor coatings. They are known to be safe, attractive, and engineered to last. Want to know more about it? Learn more about polyurea and polyaspartic floor coatings here:
